I don't have a background in immunology or biomedical science; can I still join?Any Bachelor or Master student with a background in Life Sciences (biology, genetics, biochemistry, medicine, pharmacology, toxicology, etc.) is welcome! We provide reading materials for our students to get everybody on the same page. If you don not have a background in Life Sciences our programme may be more challenging. Can I get a discount for the Immuno-Oncology Summer School? We have an early-bird discount for all students that apply before April 1st 2025. Students from strategic partner universities of the Utrecht University may be able get an additional discount or get a discount if they have missed the early-bird deadline. -
Is housing included?Housing is not automatically included in our fee. For €200,- housing is provided by the Utrecht Summer School. I am coming with a friend, can we stay at the same location?Students are placed in close proximity of their course location, whenever possible. If the course location of your friend is at a different campus, you unfortunately cannot stay at the same accommodation. In Utrecht, there are several student dormitories, which are located throughout the city. Utrecht Summer School generally tries to house students from one course in the same accommodation. Students from other courses might by housed together in the same building as well, which gives you the great opportunity to meet international students from other disciplines. Therefore, it is very difficult for us to comply with housing requests. You can send the Utrecht Summer School a request to be housed together, but they cannot guarantee that they can meet your request. Also keep in mind that this means that there's a chance that at least one of you, or both, will not be staying with students from the same course. If you wish to be ensured of a place together, you are always free to book your own accommodation in hostel/hotel or Airbnb.
-
Where can I pick up the keys to the accomodation? You can pick up your keys at the Utrecht Summer School office in the city centre, at Janskerkhof 30. Keys can be picked up between noon and 6pm on Saturday and Sunday before the start of the Immuno-Oncology Summer School course.
